1) How do I become a police officer/detention officer?

Law enforcement officers, including detention officers, are required to obtain and maintain certification through the state of
South Carolina following completion of an accredited training program. Applicants do not have to be currently certified-we’re
willing to train the next generation of South Carolina law enforcement. Following hire, both our police and detention officers
attend training at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. Visit our Careers page for more information, and to submit an application.

2) How do I pay my ticket?

Tickets can be paid online or in person by coming to our location at 258 2nd Street, Cheraw, SC 29520.

3) Can I pay a ticket online?

Most tickets can be paid via our third party online payment site. Click here to pay your ticket online. Feel free to contact

4) How do I get a copy of my incident report?

Bring a photo ID to the police department at 258 2nd Street, Cheraw, SC 29520. Incident reports are $2 a copy. There is no
charge if you have been the victim of a crime.
